Wonderful to see the recognition of our logistics operations and in particular our drivers, who continue to deliver critical products to the NHS front line, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, writes Unipart Distribution Director, Lee Chambers.
Thank you to Luca, who is one of many little ones who must be struggling at times to comprehend what’s going on. If colouring in a truck and sending a picture helps then please send away! (I’ll make sure it gets hung in one of our transport operations & a photo to return the gratitude.)
Our teams are loving the pictures! It’s great to know that lots are thinking of them in such trying times.
It is a time like no other, one I’m sure we are unlikely to see again. What I can say is that the work, dedication, focus and commitment from the Unipart Logistics transport team is nothing like I’ve ever seen before (and I’ve worked with some driven retailers and e-commerce businesses at peak).
Our colleagues have one thing in mind and that’s to deliver safely and quickly product to our NHS colleagues on the frontline.
Our teams continue to surpass records all without hesitation and armed with a can do attitude. I’ve no doubt the scale of this requirement will continue for some weeks to come, but I wouldn’t want to be taking on that challenge with anyone else than the teams we have right now.
We were pleased to be part of the official opening of the amazing NHS Nightingale Hospital. We really are all in this together, and collaboration is the name of the game. Case in point, were proudly working as part of the NHS Supply Chain supporting the delivery of products ranging from aprons to resus trolleys and beds to this incredible facility.
